Cecil Martin comes to Hamilton (21 July 2014)

We're delighted to be
welcoming former NFL player and current Sky Sports pundit Cecil Martin along to Hamilton Rugby as part of his UK tour.
Cecil, a former player for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be hosting an NFL-type combine and a training session in conjunction with coaches from the East Kilbride Pirates.
The session is open to anyone in the local area aged 14-28 – male and female, and both existing players from any team and those interested in giving American Football a go! We can promise you a high-energy and fun session, with an emphasis on essential skills and fundamentals.
There will be a charge of £35 for this event for non-EKP players, to cover Cecil's costs for coming over to the UK and up to Scotland .
Rams game cancelled (26 June 2014)
Saturday 28 June
We're extremely disappointed to announce that Saturday's game against the Yorkshire Rams has been cancelled at short notice. Yorkshire advised that they had to pull out due to low player numbers as a result of injuries, and due to health and safety reasons didn't want to risk playing with a depleted squad.
Games move to Cartha Queens Park (19 June 2014)

Due to unforseen circumstances, we have had to relocate our remaining June home games on Saturday 21 June and Saturday 28 June to Cartha Queens Park Rugby Club in Pollock Park, just outside of Glasgow. We hope to be back at Hamilton over the summer, and in the meantime would like to thank everyone at Cartha for their help at such short notice! Pirates shut out Predators (18 May 2014)
East Kilbride Pirates 41 - 0 Sheffield Predators
The East Kilbride Pirates overcame an under-par first half performance to record what was an eventually comfortable 41 – 0 win in the tropical conditions of South Yorkshire.
After a scoreless first quarter in which both teams' defenses were on top, the Pirates opened the scoring midway through the second quarter on a three yard touchdown run by running back Iain Dick, following a three play drive that took them 31 yards. The extra point was unsuccessful and the score remained the same as the end of the half approached.
Pirates juniors thwarted (12 May 2014)
Edinburgh Wolves 42 - East Kilbride Pirates 18
The Junior Pirates were keen to improve on their heavy week one defeat when they took on Edinburgh Wolves at Meadowbank Stadium on Sunday.
he game started promisingly when East Kilbride received the kick off and subsequently moved the ball steadily up field on their opening drive. Ollie Wesley then had the honour of scoring the team's first ever touchdown when he ran the ball in from 10 yards.

Associate game with Newcastle Vikings
Sunday saw the Pirates take a rare opportunity for a friendly match, visiting a team who are hoping to join the British American Football Association's National leagues next season, the Newcastle Vikings.
Baptism of fire for Pirates junior team (4 May 2014)
Pirates 0 - 64 Longhorns
The Pirates new junior side were given a baptism of fire in their first ever game at the Under 19 level. They made the short trip to Wishaw where they took on reigning Scottish Champions, Lanarkshire Longhorns. The home side's experience was to prove valuable throughout the game. On defense they shut down the East Kilbride attack all day, and their heavy use of two elusive running backs gave the young Pirates' defense a torrid afternoon.
Pirates storm into season with 72-0 win (21 Apr 2014)
Pirates 72 - 0 Senators
East Kilbride kicked off their 2014 Season with a comfortable win on the road against nearest rivals, geographically at least, Gateshead . The Senators already had one game under their belt, with a comprehensive win over Doncaster Mustangs seven days earlier to show for it.
