Junior Britbowl – 2019 team travel plans
This webpage contains an outline of team travel plans for junior Britbowl at New River Stadium on Sunday 1 September 2019.
What you need to do
Players should bring £40 for overnight accommodation to practice or transfer to the team account details below, and confirm this has been paid. Players attending who are under 18 must make sure they have returned a Britbowl-2019-consent-form signed by a parent. This MUST be done before travelling.

Players who are NOT travelling with the team
No accommodation fee or consent form is required, but please make sure you let us know asap if you’re making your own way and won’t need travel or accommodation. If travelling independently, players must meet with the team at the game venue no later than 9.50am on Sunday 1 September.
Outward travel
We will be travelling down the afternoon before the game on Saturday 31 August, departing at the following pickup points:
- East Kilbride, Westwood Shops by Tesco – 12.30pm
- Hamilton Palace Sports Ground – 1.00pm
We will be travelling with our usual travel supplier, Stuart’s of Carluke.
Accommodation
We will be staying at the Thistle Express in Luton which is around 50 minutes north of London. Players will be sharing twin rooms.
Meals
Breakfast is included with the overnight accommodation. Stops will be made at motorway services for other meals.
The game
Junior Britbowl will take place at New River Stadium which is part of White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre in Wood Green, London, N22 5QW. The surface is 3G. Kick off is 12pm and the game will finish at approx. 3.00pm. We will then we departing as swiftly as possible afterwards to return to Scotland.

In the event of injury
American Football is a contact sport and, although rare, occasionally injuries can happen. Qualified medical professionals will be on site at the game throughout to provide medical treatment quickly, if needed. In the event of any serious incident that requires hospital treatment, emergency contacts will be promptly notified. Our coaches and staff will have emergency contact details for players to hand throughout the trip.
Return travel
We will depart New River Stadium, at approx. 4.00pm, dropping off in reverse. Please note, due to the distance, the timings below are quite approximate and we’ll update during the journey. For u18s, parents / guardians should make sure they or another responsible adult are waiting to collect their player.

When packing, make sure you don’t forget…
Socks, gum shield, money, phone charger and phone credit, extra clothes and a towel for showering and changing after the game. Please keep valuables to a minimum.
